Threads of Light, Particles, And Waves.

The Photon Obscura project was born out of a love of music and the preservation of the fleeting moments of gold dust passing us by. Inherent Duality. Complementarity. Observers, Observed.

These images were made inside these moments. We are drawn to the empty room before the show…the void, the endless possibility, and the collective unconscious not yet activated. Light as the architecture of these times. This concept extends far beyond live music, exploring the natural memorials of the world, sacred moments, our own shadows, and the light that paints them all.

Not documentation, but preservation. Fleeting moments given permanence. This work is done for the love of the game and we keep a strong focus on supporting independent music and arts. Drawing inspiration from the words of Roland Barthes, this project will grow.

The Prints

Each print is produced in house across two fine art paper standards and 100% pigment based inks.

Limited Editions are printed on an archival baryta fine art paper (83lb / 310gsm) with a smooth, medium sheen surface on a 100% alpha-cellulose base, free of optical brighteners and certified to ISO 9706 archival standards. Display life of up to 200 years.

Open Editions are printed on a premium satin photo paper (68lb / 270gsm) with a medium depth satin, built for lasting display.

Pick Up A Pen cards are printed on 100% cotton rag fine art paper, certified to ISO 9706 and ANSI Z39.48 archival standards. Each includes a premium grade and acid free linen textured envelope (80lb) sized A7.
